Throughout Pete’s Naval career, he & Kara were always known for entertaining people. They still love throwing parties regularly in their Fairfax home today.
He may have only been 36 years old at the time, but it was the culmination of all the effort and commitment he’d demonstrated up until that point – seven years of arduous sea duty in four different sea-going assignments. His daily commitment to giving his all to any task. As a Lieutenant Commander, Pete Dallman had earned his first “command at sea” and assumed responsibility for a United States Navy war ship and her crew. Anyone who knows Pete will tell you this achievement came as no surprise – it’s all just part of one of the most driven and determined people you will ever meet.
A World of Experience
When Pete received his appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy as a fresh-faced high schooler, he never dreamt the places he’d see over the course of the next three decades. He was stationed everywhere from San Diego to Naples, Italy to Yokosuka, Japan. He saw the Far East, the Arabian Gulf, countless European countries and enjoyed
a stint in Hawaii. During each of his assignments, Pete’s unwavering commitment to service continually earned him prime promotions. He went on to command at sea three times and is proud to have served his country for 28 years, retiring as a Navy Captain.
One of Pete’s last assignments in the Navy found him working at the Pentagon, which introduced him to the Fairfax area he still calls home today. He, his wife, Kara, and their two children all embraced the local lifestyle and were attracted by the premier quality schools throughout this part of Northern Virginia. While Pete had retired from the Navy, his drive and commitment wouldn’t allow him to “retire” from working altogether. Drawing on the 18 different moves he had made over the years, he immersed himself in the real estate industry and quickly established himself as a premier real estate resource.
